Hello Stamper Friends,
More about our awesome trip, on the 3rd day we arrived in Santorini. As you can see you have to travel up either 587 steps, the stairs are that little zig zag or you can go by donkey or cable car. We chose the cable car!!
At this port Linda signed us up for a Volcano Hiking and Hot Spring Swim excursion. We first boarded this boat to take us to the spot and of course when I was getting in, I twisted my bad foot. Not a good way to start.
After arriving to the spot to hike this is what we where hiking up:
Not bad till we got to this, stones and rock and needless to say it was like 80 some degrees and yes we are OUT of shape so about half way up we turned back around.
Then the next part of the excursion was to swim about 150 feet to a hot springs. OK so this is in the ocean and the waves are pretty rough and when we got in it was like OMG the water was ICE COLD took my breath right away.
OK, so yes like I said I am out of shape and so we started swimming and I didn't think 150 feet would be to bad. WELL, I though I was going to die! I got about half way there and there was this guy on a rock talking to his little girl that had 2 noodles. I think he could tell I was not doing to good because he asked his little girl if I could have one of her noodles. God Bless her little heart she gave me one and it saved me!!
So we got to the springs only to find it all rocks on top of rocks. There was no way to stand up so we just skimmed across it. Then our journey back to the boat, I will never let my sister live this down.
