Good Evening Stamper Friends,
Another long day at the hospital, we have sure found out that people have no respect for people that are sick and in the hospital. The first 4 days my mom had a AWESOME room mate, she was so quiet you couldn't tell that anybody was over there.
Then room mate number 2 came in, OMG she kept telling her kids, yes all 6 of them to get her purse that she needed pain pills. This was after the nurse already gave her some, her family kept using the bathroom in the room. My mom was in this room for 4 days, they brought her in and just because they both had the same first name and same letter of last name, they moved my mom out. Which was good, as when we came back from my moms procedure her family was gone and there was two policemen standing at the door!!! yikes
Then when she got moved to the other room, room mate number 3 was another story!! Her 5 year old grandson was there all day long, his mom was in and out but mostly out!! TV blaring with cartoons and a fan blowing on high speed. All this lady did was talk about getting out of there as 3 of her family members where in the hospital too. One was beat up by her boyfriend with a baseball bat and the two others had been shot!! Thank God she went home at 5:00.
When I was at our Rubber Queens meeting tonight my sister texted and told me about room mate number 4! Another very LOUD person, her family smelt like they had been in a bar all night. The guy kept setting on the bed, which sets off an alarm! My poor poor mom, we just want to get her OUT of there. Hopefully real soon, they are doing the heart cath tomorrow. FOR SURE this time, plus shock the heart again and some other test I didn't understand. So wish us luck and say a little prayer for her that she gets to come home soon!
So I have a few cards that I took pictures of at the meeting tonight, these where from a swap that Sandy Haynes had did:
Well, I need to get to bed it's going to be another very long day tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by and see you all tomorrow!
Tamie
Oh, Tamie. What a (mostly) horrible succession of roommates for your Mom. Unfortunately, in both Gary’s and my experience, this seems to be the case more often than not. Your Mom, you and your family are and have been in my prayers. May your Mom be home soon so she can get some real rest and healing.
what Carol said. Prayers coming your way.
Super cute
