Hello Stamper Friends,
I was not very good at blogging while I was in Las Vegas! It didn't start out very good getting there as some of you already know. We stayed in Detroit on Wednesday night as our flight was leaving on Thursday morning at 8:30. Well, when we went down to the lobby to check out we were informed that Delta terminal was flooded!! Our flights were delayed and then delayed again and again then cancelled!! We did book another flight out for 4:30 and prayed real hard that it would get cleared up by then!
So finally they were opened up so we went to the air port with a million other people!!! So you can imagine the chaos that was taking place once we got into the airport! We finally got on our way at the scheduled 4:30 flight time and arrived in Las Vegas. We were traveling with some other demos and their flight didn't leave for an hour after ours so we had to wait for them to get in as they had booked the car.
We finally got to the hotel at 9:30, unfortunately it was after the welcome Stampin Up party. We were bummed, but so tired that we just checked in and went to our room and crashed!!
The rest of the weekend was awesome though, I wish I would have had a chance to visit my nephew and his family but we were pretty busy. Out flight home left at 10:30 PM and we finally got home at 5:07 AM this morning and then had the drive back from Detroit. No sleep on the plane for me, so I was so tired I came home and took a 4 hour nap and got up and got busy.
Unfortunately my brother in law, my husbands brother passed away from cancer while I was gone. So that was a little tough being out there and not being here for the family when he passed. A lot of you know what it's like to watch your loved ones with cancer, so we know that he is in a much better place, but it's still hard.
So after working all day on my card class for tomorrow, I started to work on my September classes. I think if I schedule 25 classes I might be able to earn this years trip. Unfortunately, that is not going to happen. I will have some fun classes using some awesome new product from the Holiday catalog so keep posted for those classes.
So tonight I made one of the Christmas Stamp A Stack cards for that class using a new stamp set. I was going to try and get some other cards done but this girl is ready to crash.
So here is a card using a new large stamp:
I used Garden Green, Basic Black and Basic White with Garden Green ink.
I received a swap from Ronda Wade and this was her creation with the same stamp:
Well, I am off to bed, so tired!
Thanks for stopping by!
