Hello Stamper Friends,
Just returned home from the cruise and I am so ready for bed. But first I wanted to recap my cruise.
Friday, May 20 my sister and I arrived at the Flint airport at 6:00 with our flight leaving at 7:00. OK, well at 7:05 they announced that our flight had been canceled as our plane could not land because of the fog so it turned around and went back to Cleveland! NOT GOOD!!! So all of us went and got in line to see what they where going to do about it. After waiting about a half hour I called our travel people through Stampin Up and she got right on trying to find another flight to get us to Seattle before the cruise ship left!
We where in line for 2-1/2 hours only to get up there and find out there was NOTHING that could get us to Seattle before 4:00. They tried everything from switching us to another airport to another airline, NOTHING was available (SAD FACE) We knew at this point we where not going to make the cruise. The AWESOME people at Morris Meeting (Michele) starting working very hard to make arrangements for us and 6 other people that where in the same boat. After 15 hours we finally arrived in Seattle at 7:00, at that point we where put up into a hotel by the airport.
The next morning we where taken to the airport and jumped on Alaska Air:
The flight took us to the first port where the ship was to dock, of course they where not due till Sunday and this was Saturday morning. We arrived in Ketchikan Alaska,
It was 55 degrees and no rain, great day to explore the town! As I mentioned below then we where put up in this AWESOME Bed and Breakfast (see pictures below) well I really need to get to bed, more from my vacation tomorrow! Good Night
